and state laws • Support with federal and state laws/regulations and legislative updates Our legal staff provides general counsel and support to FPI associations on federal and state law compliance, such as FCA regulations, truth-in-lending, RESPA, ECOA, environmental law, state ag assistance, guarantee programs and legislative issues. Interpretation of legal language Our staff provides loan structuring advice and legal documentation to our customers along with advice on general legal and liability issues, credit law, state appraiser laws, tax laws and commercial and intellectual property law. UCC and other credit law support Our legal staff provides advice and support about letters of credit, Uniform Commercial Code Article IX (Security Interests), Article III (Commercial Paper) and Articles IV and IVA (Bank Deposits, Collections and Fund Transfers). Contract coordination and troubleshooting Our legal staff reviews service contracts with
vendors for our association customers, and also participates in
the negotiation of vendor contracts.
